XIeolN6YwimvmlmYsRCgLaunched in November 2015, Venuecompass.com is a marketplace for people and space owners to list, discover, and book unique Halls and Venues online from simple wedding halls to venues of corporate events depending on your budget.

VenueCompass.com aims to connect people who want to rent or rent out spaces for events like parties and conferences with an easy-to-use platform from which to do so.

”We are building a powerful platform trusted worldwide by millions of users for online booking of their desired event venues,” said Co-founder and CEO Adekunle Owoeye. “Whether you need a hall for a wedding or corporate event, Venuecompass.com connects people to unique experiences, at any price point across Lagos and potentially Nigeria.”

Though at the moment Venuecompass.com  is just a marketplace for venues, it aims to eventually control the entire events funnel from catering to invitations. Owoeye says that the venue is the “tip of the spear” of events, and customers need the venue before they can start thinking about any other things for their event. Once the platform connects a user to a venue, it opens up access to other services such as catering, event planners, decorations among others.

Venuecompass.com vets each venue before enlisting them. The platform now boasts of 1000 venues in Lagos as it spreads to other cities. Users now post their venues for free but the firm will look at mhaving featured veues in the future for monetization.
