Blackberry has availed the Blackberry 9720 Smartphone for its South Africa consumers , the phone is meant to take care of the needs of that user who is hungry for a feature phone, starter smartphone or existing Blackberry Curve.
“The new BlackBerry 9720 Smartphone is now available from Vodacom, and is expected to be available from other authorized carriers and retailers in South Africa in the first week of September. The new Smartphone is supported on the popular BlackBerry Internet Service (BIS),” said BlackBerry.
Apart from the generous battery life, the phone has excellent enhancement which include BlackBerry 7 OS version 7.1. This features an updated interface that lets you swipe to unlock the phone or access the camera from the lock screen.
This smartphone also has a BBM key that makes it quick and convenient to access the globally popular mobile social networks, and making messaging even better with its BlackBerry Keyboard. It also includes BBM Voice, which lets you chat over Wi-Fi. The latest version of BBM, which features BBM Channels, will be availed in downloading form on the BlackBerry World storefront, letting you tune in and connect with the businesses, brands, celebrities and groups you are passionate about.
The 9720 also has a Built-in FM Radio which one can let their BBM friends know what they are listening to automatically.
Yet another feature, the refreshed BlackBerry 7 OS lets you quickly type your message once and post it simultaneously and instantly to your friends on BBM, Twitter and Facebook. You can even take a picture and post it to multiple social networks all at the same time, right from the camera app.
