Own Nairobi Wants You to Know Your City

Kenya’s capital city Nairobi is known for many things. We set out to identify its personality, see what is the most recurring trait among all of you Nairobians, our guys observed and they said the city is so materialistic, tough, extroverted, uncaring, even cruel yet several others said it’s friendly.

Others said Nairobi is young, wired, vibrant, smart, sassy, irreverent, dynamic, shabby, conflicted and thrill seeking. A few others it’s a rising city, a city of survivors reaching for the better.

We decided to summarise the findings of our research here;

• Nairobi nisugu, Nairobi ninoma, Nairobi is genge!

• Nairobi is fast-paced, Nairobi is unforgiving.

• My Nairobi is trendy, hip and ahead of the game.

• My Nairobi is multi-dimensional, kaleidoscopic and layered.

• My Nairobi is sultry, sexy, fierce and passionate.

• My Nairobi is fast-paced, uber-social, connected and forward-thinking.

• My Nairobi is laid-back, serene and in control.

• My Nairobi is poised, muscles tensed and ready for tomorrow.
