Vooka Online Helps You Stream Live TV Everywhere You Go

vookaA new mobile video streaming service dubbed Vooka Online has launched in Kenya to help smartphone users stream live TV channels, movies and music.

The service, launched by Rapid Communications Ltd, a leader in mobile applications services i partnership with StarTimes, will see users stream live StarTimes channels and other TV content from bollywood and Usalama watch TV via their smart phones.

The service now available on mobile at http://www.vookaonline.com requires users to send an SMS to 22832 with the word ‘startimes’ then select various startimes channels then pay Ksh.10 per day for all startimes channels or Ksh.5 per day for just one channel.

According to Rapid Communications CEO Mr Anwar Majid Hussein,“In the wake of the current cognitively complex work environment coupled with competitive pressures and technological breakthroughs, the current smart phone user desires some leisure breaks. What better way to relax than to access entertainment from the gadget at hand – the mobile. With this in mind, Rapid Communications developed the mobile TV that streams live videos in order to fulfill the entertainment need as well as provide content.”

With its daily susbscription options, Vooka streaming platform might be an a convinient way for Kenyans to watch TV whenever they are minus leaving their offices or when stuck in traffic as long as they have data.

Kenyan-based Rapid Communications Limited develops Web and mobile apps, CMS and POS’s that work hand in hand with the Mobile applications. In April the firm launched tuASK, an SMS-based location and directory service.
