As part of social responsibility, MTN Rwanda has rolled out countrywide programme to digitalise teaching and learning in schools. This comes shortly after the telecommunications company partnered with the Wikipedia Foundation that will see MTN clients access Wikipedia data free of charge.
According to MTN CEO Ebenezer Asante, the programme is in line with MTN’s new vision to lead in delivery of a bold new digital world to our customers. The move is also in a quest to close the digital divide in the community.
This is also part of the company’s annual employee volunteer programme dubbed 21 Days of Yello care. Establishing early childhood development facilities, training teachers and learners to use ICT and establish digital content and libraries in universities is to make visible and sustainable contribution to society
