Jambojet’s #OccupyJambojet Winning Team Announced

10600488_1532956220274176_4376589480921662678_nJambojet’s social media campaign #OccupyJambojet has ended today on a high note after a number of hitches here and there including the site crashing and a number of participants just being disatisfied they didn’t win.

The low cost airline today announced James Quest’s led #TeamPawa as the winners of the campaign after their captain mobilised 99 people to #OccupyJambojet for a one day all-expenses paid trip to Mombasa on Saturday 27th, September.

According to Jambojet’s Managing Director Williem Hondius, the campaign aimed to encourage more Kenyans, especially those who have never flown, to travel.

“We saw a lot of interest in the campaign with 174 manifests being formed, with a total of 5,000 passengers signing up for the campaign. It was competitive and close with James Quest emerging tops,” said Mr Hondius during the unveiling ceremony. “Since our launch in April we have seen our passenger numbers growing on average 45,000 per month. With this campaign we for see further growth.”

Jambojet also awarded the other top 14 captains with free return tickets, to a destination of their choice, for their efforts in the campaign.

The campaign, which was rolled out on Friday 12th, September 2014, and mainly on Twitter, saw Jambojet grow its online footprint exponentially. Jambojet Twitter following grew by two folds during the campaign.
