MultiChoice Unveils GOtv Signal In Kenya’s Narok County

Kenya’s Narok County can now enjoy a variety of channels through their GO tv decoders as MultiChoice Kenya Limited has made the installation. This now adds the cosmopolitan county to the broad footprint of areas in Kenya where GOtv set top boxes can be used to deliver quality television transmission in digital format.

Apart from that, MutiChoice is also offering exciting digital home television is available in major towns in Kenya including in Nairobi, Mombasa, Kisumu, Malindi, Nakuru, Nyeri, Kisii, Meru, Machakos, Isiolo, Laikipia, Bungoma, Kakamega, Trans Nzoia and Kajiado among others.

“We have been testing the signal for the past few weeks and today we officially go live. This will allow Kenyans living in Narok and its environs to access world class programming and entertainment at an affordable price,” said Philip Wahome, Corporate Communication Manager, MultiChoice Kenya Limited.

Since its launch in 2011, GOtv has been playing a pivotal role in assisting the Kenyan government to achieve a smooth transition from analogue to digital television broadcasting.  GOtv was launched as a public private partnership with the state broadcaster, KBC and MultiChoice Kenya to ensure that the great affordable digital TV is accessible to everyone.

Presetn in the launch was the speaker of the Narok County Assembly, Nicholas Kamwaro, he said: “Narok County is already reaping the benefits of entry of GOtv into the county as MultiChoice Kenya has created resource centres in 7 secondary schools in the county through its CSR program known as MultiChoice Learning Resource Centre.”

Some of the cahnnels to watch with a GOtv decoder include; NTV, KBC, KTN, Citizen TV, M-Net Movies Zone, Select Sport 1 & 2, Africa Magic World, Maisha Magic Swahili, One Gospel, E! Entertainment, Channel O and, eTV Africa, to name a few.

In addition, GOtv has some top international channels including Discovery World, Disney Junior, Nickelodeon, Sony Max, CNN, Aljazeera, M-Net Movies Zone and for Sports lovers there is SuperSport Select and SuperSport Select 2.

“With these sports channels you can watch live Kenya Premier League and select matches from UEFA, Laliga, Serie A, and English Premier Leagues,” said Wahome adding on that MultiChoice has set an affordable price of Kshs 1,799 for a GOtv decoder loaded with 2 months GOtv Plus subscription at no additional cost for Narok County residents.
