re:learn is the education practice at Co-Creation Hub founded in 2012. Co-creation hub is a social innovation centre that accelerates the successful application of social capital and technology for economic prosperity in Nigeria. At re:learn we help students and schools use
technology in smart ways to enhance learning. This is made possible by the employment and training of recent graduates and deploying them to schools nationwide. We work with the government and other stakeholders to develop policies that promote and ensure ICT resources
are effectively used in classrooms nationwide. Our vision is to serve 1,000,000 students by enhancing their learning experience through technology in and out of school.
The Code Squad is a programme specially designed for students that have just completed their JSS3 examinations and have till September before they resume for the new school year while the GAP YEAR CLUB is designed specially designed for teens who have completed secondary school and have few months before starting at a university. The aim is to keep them positively engaged through introduction to programming and computational thinking.
Parents/Guardians have 2 tracks to choose from.
Track 1:Creating Your Web Presence: This provides a foundation for web development. Students learn HTML/CSS and JavaScript. At the end of this programme each student will have their own personal website, as well as a list of portfolio projects they have designed.
Track 2: Programming the World Around You: This track provides a foundation for computer programming and an introduction to physical computing. Through programming, teens get to control lights, buzzers, build computer applications and build smart apps that send notifications. While not a requirement, this track is especially recommended for kids interested in pursuing
Computer Science or Engineering degrees, or kids who generally like tinkering with stuff or working with their hands.
