Google has released an update for its Pixel smartphones.
The new update to its Pixel 4 smartphones involves holding the rollout of major new features in its first-party apps until it’s time for the next feature drop.
The first feature drop brought features like automatic Call Screen, a new Portrait Mode filter and auto-framing feature in Google Duo. The feature actively applies blur to existing photos in Google Photos.
Additionally, the update comprises of three more new features to the Googles Pixel 4. The feature supports dual-frequency GNSS, an improved Face Unlock, and support for T-Mobile’s network via the built-in eSIM.
“you’ll also get amazingly fast accuracy in Google Maps with improved on-device computing for much better location quality. Additionally, your Pixel automatically updates regularly with fixes and improvements. Now, your Pixel will also get bigger updates in new Pixel feature drops .” according to Google.
The first pixel will launch this month. The feature includes a new way to capture portraits, easier Duo calls and automatic call screening.
However, with the latest update, T-Mobile USA users can access the feature since it supports dual SIM, dual standby.
Users can use both the physical nanoSIM and the eSIM on different networks while still being able to receive calls and texts from Pixel 4’s eSIM.
With the latest update to call screen on Pixel 4 in the US. The Google Assistant now helps users automatically screen unknown callers and filter out detected robocalls before the phone ever rings.
For non-robocall, the phone rings a few moments later with helpful context about who is calling and why.
Additionally, Call Screen works on the user’s device and does not use Wi-Fi or data, which makes the screening fast and the contents private.
Dual-frequency GNSS allows for better location tracking. Your phone can track more than one signal from a satellite using two different frequencies.
