Glovo has opened a technical centre to tap into customers service and job creation. Already, with the opening fo the new centre, they have created 75 new jobs to Nairobi residents.
The number adds to Glovo’s current employee number of over 1,000 people and 35,000 active globers globally. Who on a daily basis benefit from the company.
The new facility dubbed “Glover Center” and a 2nd new Glovo operations facility in Westlands will help to improve the efficiency of service for Glovo local consumers and riders. Glovo links motorcycle riders to consumers wishing to buy and deliver products.
With the technical centre, the company now targets to provide faster and localised rider and customer support and in turn faster deliveries. The move signals Glovo’s commitment to growing in Kenya by investing in its technology infrastructure.
“This is a major milestone in Glovo’s expansion in Kenya and for our broader vision of providing unparalleled convenience and customer experience to our users. Our overriding objective is to put our customers first. As we grow we are ensuring that our infrastructure and facilities keep pace,” said William Benthall, Glovo General Manager for Kenya.
“We are also really proud that Glovo is creating 75 new jobs in Nairobi. As well as major income-generating opportunities for our local partners who list their products on the platform. Including supermarkets, cooking gas, pharmacies, and restaurants ranging from Big Square to Kibanda Express,” he added.
Glovo has been very deliberate in stepping up. And has been creating an infrastructure that will improve consumer needs and guarantee customer satisfaction. While ensuring that average delivery times on the platform continue to drop well below 45 minutes.
The new launch assimilates Glovo’s aims to lead in every market it enters. While providing an on-demand experience that delivers for customers and beyond believing in innovations.
Earlier on, Glovo’s Co-founder Oscar Pierre had noted that. “We believe innovations such as dark supermarkets. As well as our appetite to innovate to provide everything through one app for city dwellers.”
Glovo competes Sendy, Uber Eats and Bolt Food. It’s delivery spans from services to food, supermarkets, drinks, gifts, as well as courier services to residents as far as Kitengela and Nakuru.
