We all use weak passwords from time to time.Whether it’s just a temporary password someone sent us or one we use on many sites, this is definitely a habit we need to stop.To help, thelatest Chrome updatehas a feature that will help you strengthen your passwords on different sites – from within the browser itself.
Previously, you could easily check the strength of the passwords saved within Chrome (or find out which have potentially been compromised), but the new feature actually goes one step further – letting you change them all at once.That is, assuming you useChrometo manage your passwords.
On the desktop, click on your logged-in user icon in the top right-hand corner and click on the key icon.You’ll be able to do the same by navigating tochrome://settings/passwords. Once there, click on‘check passwords’to see which of your passwords are deemed weak.But that’s not all.Chrome gives you a link to go and change each password.Awesome, right?
You could also let Chrome create some new stronger passwords for you.The feature will be available on desktop and iOS over the next few weeks.The Android update should be arriving soon.
Chrome 88 also improves the browser’s dark mode capabilities and removes support for Adobe Flash and FTP.Adobe itself has already discontinued the former.
