Jumia Ghana and Solar Taxi partner for affordable and eco-friendly delivery

Jumia a leading e-commerce platform has partnered with SolarTaxi an E-mobility company in Ghana to provide affordable and eco-friendly delivery of online orders to consumers.

“SolarTaxi is an E-mobility company providing affordable and sustainable transportation or mobility solutions for the modern Africans. The Company designs and locally assemble electric Bikes, Tricycle and Cars, for sell, rent or lease. They also provide charging points and maintenance for electric vehicles. SolarTaxi is Africa’s premier company to commercialize electric vehicle for large scale adoption and its on track to provide 10 million EVs by 2030.”

Studies show that Carbon dioxide emissions impact human health by displacing oxygen in the atmosphere thus breathing becomes more difficult as carbon dioxide levels rise. Using echo friendly transportation is not only safe but also cheap in terms of costs as it reduces fuel Costs and is low on maintenance.

According to Jumia the partnership speaks to their commitment of going green. With a shared vision of ensuring a clean and sustainable environment using renewable energy, coupled with the need to keep consumers safe especially during the many waves of the COVID-19, consumers who order food, groceries and other essential items on Jumia can get their orders delivered conveniently and environmentally friendly to their homes or offices by SolarTaxi riders.
