What is Spotify unwrapped?
Spotify Wrapped provides fans with an overview of what they’ve been listening to and loving over the past year, from January to the end of November.
It will tell you the first song and first new artist you listened to in 2021, how many minutes you spent listening to things on Spotify this year, and which artist you listened to the most, in addition to giving you a definitive list of your Top 100 most-listened-to songs of the year.
Is Spotify Wrapped only available to Premium subscribers?
Spotify Wrapped is available to both Premium and free users.
Subscribers, on the other hand, get to learn a little bit more about their listening habits.
Premium users, for example, can earn a ‘Pioneer’ badge if they listen to a song before it reaches 50,000 streams.
How do you find your “Spotify Wrapped”?
- Launch the Spotify app.
- To access your Wrapped playlist, tap on the ‘Your 2021 Wrapped’ banner on the home screen. If you don’t see it, type ‘Wrapped’ into the search bar and you should be able to see it.
- When you click on the banner, you will be taken to Spotify Wrapped ‘Story.’ You will be able to view your personalized statistics here.
- If you want to share the data with your friends and family on social networking sites, you can do so by clicking on the ‘Share this story’ button.
Who has dominated this year’s music scene?
The most-streamed songs were dominated by relatively new blood, including Olivia Rodrigo with her debut single – the understated power ballad, “drivers license” – which was played more than 1.1 billion times this year following its release in January.
This was followed by “Montero (Call Me By Your Name)” by Lil Nas X from his debut album, Montero. Justin Bieber collaborated with newcomer The Kid LAROI on their viral hit “STAY,” which peaked at No. 3 on the year’s most-streamed songs, followed by another of Rodrigo’s songs, the kiss-off track “Good 4 U.”
Dua Lipa’s single “Levitating” featuring DaBaby rounded out the top five – Lipa condemned the rapper in July after he made a series of homophobic remarks about people living with AIDS and HIV during Rolling Loud Festival.
