Safaricom partners with Zeraki to offer an affordable digital learning platform.

 On 20 April 2022, Safaricom announced a partnership with Zeraki learning seeking to give High School learners across the country access to affordable education services. – in the form of video lessons, assessment tests, and more.

Safaricom has added a feature to its MySafaricom App that allows parents and guardians to sign up for the service for as little as KES 20 per day. The amount can be deducted from customers’ airtime/postpaid bills or via M-PESA.

“Our investments in education, both from solutions and philanthropic perspective, are geared towards addressing current gaps and boosting youth employability. Through the partnership with Zaraki Learning, we want to ensure that the platform makes digital education accessible and affordable. For parents, Zaraki gives them access to their child’s academic record which they can use to support their decisions”, said Peter Ndegwa, CEO, of Safaricom.

Zeraki analytics offers the latest system of compiling and analyzing students’ data by providing an interface for results analysis, marks entry, and bulk messaging to parents. Zeraki analytics findings provide teachers with a new and simple approach to examining and visualizing exam outcomes.

This digital platform aims to give topic-by-topic exams as well as powerful metrics to assist students to diagnose and track their progress.

The platform is available in the education section of the MySafaricom App under the discover tab and on www.safaricom.com/elimu
