The OPPO A96 smartphone is the entrance of the Chinese maker. This new model is already available for 299 euros globally and KES 36,999 locally. The Chinese maker has managed to incorporate a better autonomy to market it, thanks to its SUPERVOOC rapid charging of 33 W and the OPPO Glow coating feature, which provides scratch resistance to the device.
The gadget measures 164.4 mm in height, 75.7 mm in width, and 8.5 mm in thickness for the Twilight Blue version (8.4 mm for the Starry Black version) and weighs 191 grams. The fingerprint sensor is located on the side of the phone, and the rear is curved.
It also features a display size of 6.59 inches with a refresh rate of 90Hz. In the rear, there are 50 MP sensors and a 5,000 mAh battery. A 16 MP selfie camera (f/2.0, FOV 79.3°) is included in the smartphone. A 50 MP primary sensor (f/1.8, FOV 77°) and a 2 MP bokeh sensor (f/2.4, FOV 88.8°) are included on the rear. The camera offers a digital zoom of x5 and a burst mode of up to 20 photos. The terminal’s video quality is optimum at 1080p at 30 frames per second.
This newcomer, like the OPPO Reno 7 5G (Stay tuned for the full review in the coming weeks), has a Qualcomm Snapdragon 680 4G SoC with 8 CPU cores and a Qualcomm Adreno 610 GPU clocked at 1.1 GHz.The processor is paired with 8 GB of RAM and 128 GB of internal storage. Virtual RAM is, of course, included in the game, and an SD card slot enables you to expand your storage space.
