Windows 11 22:22: When will the next major OS upgrade arrive?

This date would overlap with the start of Microsoft’s Build conference, geared at developers. Microsoft’s work on the first major upgrade to Windows 11 seems to be concluding.

We discovered that the  RTM (Release to Manufacturing) version of Windows 11 22H2 (also known as Sun Valley 2) would be released on May 24 by the American publisher. This date is not coincidental. Indeed, Microsoft kicks off its Build developers conference on May 24 with a full unveiling of its main new features.

It’s virtually expected that the Redmond company will go into great detail about the new features and enhancements included in this next edition of its operating system. If beta testers can find this initial feature upgrade in a few days, it won’t be available to the general public until at least the summer.

Indeed, Microsoft has not yet finished installing Windows 11 on eligible devices and hopes to do so in the coming weeks before the upgrade’s release. Meanwhile, Microsoft will continue to work on its next version of Windows 11 based on user input and provide cumulative updates to polish it as much as feasible.
