The Samsung Galaxy A24, A34, and A54 should drop the depth sensor

Away with the Expected foldable launch date scheduled in August and Focusing on the Galaxy A range of Samsung Smartphones, the Latest reports suggests that the manufacturer will only release Galaxy A series phones with three cameras, as opposed to four.

Since the depth sensor no longer serves many purposes, it should be removed without replacement. The affected smartphones are the likes of the Samsung Galaxy A23, Galaxy A33, and Galaxy A53 5G

As we know, with most of our smartphones, the depth sensor is usually employed to calculate the spatial depth in portraiture. However, the Google Pixel 6 has shown that a separate ToF sensor is no longer required. The Google flagship is devoid of a depth sensor. By using a machine learning algorithm, can it generate a believable depth effect using both the primary and the front camera?

So if the depth sensor is removed, what about the other sensors? Will they also be affected? Recent reports suggest that the manufacturer will enhance the remaining three cameras. For example(Based on several leaks up to the writing of this article), the Galaxy A24 will include a 50 MP primary camera, an 8 MP ultra-wide camera, and a 5 MP macro camera.

With the exception of the 48 MP primary camera, the Galaxy A34 has identical camera hardware As the one mentioned previously. In addition, the Galaxy A54 will include a 50 MP primary camera and 5 MP ultra-wide-angle and macro cameras, respectively.

The three smartphones should go on sale before the end of 2023.
