The Best Devices to Have in Case of A Power Loss

Surviving in Kenya during the rains should be included as part of a life skill because it is one.

From jumping across the floods to interrupted power, it’s safe to say that we are still a backward country that constantly needs survival tips. Consider my home: I’ve been without power for four days due to a blown transformer. In this day and age, where we vote and pay for our electricity with the click of a button, I can’t have a hot shower in the morning because our power company is unable to do so. Before I continue venting, let me write about what this article is truly about: the best devices to have in case of a power loss. Since it is survival of the fittest, my struggle inspired me to write this article, and I hope it helps.

Firstly, always keep your devices fully charged:

Make sure all of your electronics are charged, even when not in use. In the event of anticipated or possible power outages, this is extremely crucial. It might be communicated through utility company messages or throughout the rainy seasons. If your phone supports reverse charging, you can use your laptop to charge it or connect it to another device.

Then ensure that you explore these backup power options

1. Uninterrupted Power Supply (UPS)

In spite of interruptions in your primary power source, UPS devices, as their name suggests, continue to supply power. Consider purchasing it if you can. Bonus: A UPS assists in preventing any data loss or device damage that could happen during electricity outages.

2.Generator

When the primary electrical grid fails, generators are a highly practical option to produce your own power. The automatic restoration of electricity by generators that use automated switch applications is effective. As soon as you lose power, they begin to do this almost immediately.

3.Power Bank

After you lose power, a power bank will allow you to continue using your phone, tablet, and even laptop for a while. They aren’t generators but they do have an incredible capacity that can reach up to 20,000mAH.

4.Car Cigarette lighter

Those who drive vehicles with cigarette lighters can prolong the life of their equipment during a power outage by purchasing a car adaptor that links their phone to the lighter’s connector.

5. Portable Wifi Router

When there is a power outage, small wifi routers that fit in your pocket are a lifesaver. Most of them are rather inexpensive and have long connection times to many devices. The power source does not have to be directly linked to them. Get one right away, please!
