Samsung has something up its sleeve, it is planning to introduce smartphones that come with curved displays in October; this new curved devices will be having plastic light-emitting diode (OLED) panels.

So far Samsang and LG are the ones who It has already begun manufacturing TVs with curved display.

This was said by Dj Lee, Samsung’s head of strategic marketing for mobile, during a launch of its Galaxy Note 3 tablet in South Korea.

“We plan to introduce a smartphone with a curved display in South Korea in October,” he said, although he declined to offer any more details.

The company once displayed sample products with bendy and extendable screens but they still lingers doubts on how the technology will be produced at low cost.

So will a curved screen improve the sales? Some analyst argue like Ben Wood from CCS Insight. It may look good, but seriously buying another Samsung Mega (in a different name) just because it is curved?  Who knows may be their market research states that people are now going for curve phones.

On the other hand it’s a little too early to judge, because digital technology is progressing towards curve, bendy and foldable screens and there could be another level of dynamism in the October-Phone. All this questions and speculations could be answered if we could get in touch with them, all the same, we are patient.
