Ghana’s EverZero is a new mobile prepaid payment service for everyone who wants to pay cash online or pay any telephone number with just a few tabs.
Just launched in Ghana in beta, EverZero says it’s a new wave of cashless payment in Africa with plans to start P2P mobile payment services for everyone.
Derrick Agyiri the founder EverZero told TechMoran, “EverZero is also developing an an app to help people pay cash to any telephone number (Registered or Not) and create a onetime prepaid virtual card to pay for goods and services online. I call it the WhatsApp of Payment.”
The Application will work on: iOS, Android, Blackberry, Windows Phone and USSD however merchant can integrate it Web and Mobile Application to accept EverZero online.
EverZero users will need to pay cash to an agent or partner banks and a virtual card will be sent to their phone by SMS. The users will load the money with information provided by the Agent or Partner Bank to an EverZero Mobile App and can send money to any telephone number with the loaded balance or create a onetime Prepaid Virtual Card to buy Goods or Services online.
Merchants also create an account with via the firm’s mobile app and connect to their API to accept payment online. For one to withdraw their funds, merchants use an EverZero co-branded plastic card which is used on selected ATM issued by their partners. The merchants need not have a bank account to avoid back risks and credit card fraud.
