He added that Kenya is the breathing hub of East Africa as it covers half of the east African market; in that most companies in the East Africa region have a branch in Kenya, making it the best place to start their distribution as it spreads to other countries.
The distribution deal is the first of its kind for Mitsumi in the Video space and will provide the distributor’s partnership with access to Polycom’s personal devices, unified communications systems and the RealPresence platform. This marks Mitsumi’s first foray into the UC video space and as Vikas Verma, Head of Mitsumi’s Value division says, market changes have increased the number of meetings business are conducing, but they need to save costs on travel.

Polycom is known for the the manufacturing of video conferencing equipment, the sale of the equipment in the country begun in March this year.
