You can now get your Weave News Reader on your Nokia Asha smartphone; this App has been developed with built-in news sources that are grouped according to categories such as technology, world events, gaming allowing users to follow any website or blog of interest at any time.
All you have to do is download it from the app store, sign up (a process that has been reduced to just ticking check boxes) and you will be receiving daily news updates depending on the options you will select when signing up.
The category list, which is position at the top, contains a list of items you had selected at app start-up. Within each item you will see the individual news stories which you tap to expand and it will display a very simple-to-read article; mainly just text. If the article contains a video, an option to click out of the story will pop out and one can watch it through the phone’s browser. Each story also includes the option to share to Facebook or Twitter, as well as a favourite button, making it really simple to read news at a later date.
On the home screen you’ll find a – manage sources section. Here you can fine-tune the publications which you receive your news from and also find news from some of the lesser mainstream, more obscure sources. Users also have an option to reduce/enlarge the words through a handy font section, as well as change the theme and background colour.
