Airtel Rwanda To Inject $30 Million For Network Upgrade

Rwanda’s Airtel will be spending $30 million in upgrading its network, this plan is set out to take place this year.

The telecommunication company says that it is looking to better as well as expand its network in a bid to provide subscribers more products and services..

“We want to enable individuals and businesses reach maximum potential by providing solutions like affordable Internet and data plans,” said Teddy Bhullar, Airtel’s CEO.

The company said that it has already invested $150 million since it entered the country in April 2012.

Airtel almost doubled its subscriber base from 570,739 to 1,004,229 customers between January 2013 and February this year.
