Orange kenya has launched the first e-care app in the Kenyan market. The myOrange app offers Orange mobile subscribers a personalized account management experience, allowing them to check their credit balance, recharge their account and manage their subscription of Orange services. The GPS enabled app comes with a feature map that will enable customers to locate Orange and partner shops across the country.

Company CEO Mickael Ghossein says that Orange Kenya will continue to improve its value proposition to its customers; being cognisant of the change in consumer trends, as the mobile phone becomes a necessity in today’s world.

“We are therefore innovating daily to come up with better avenues through which our customers can access our services easily and with simplicity, as well as give feedback on the products and solutions that we roll out in the market,” says Ghossein.

The app that is designed for Android phones, will also keep users updated on the latest promotions, offers and services from Orange. Customers will also be able to monitor their usage and subscribe to Orange’s products and services much faster. The app is also zero rated in that it does not deduct the user’s data offer. However, when downloading it, one’s data offer (4MB) will be used.

With the uptake of smart phones growing year on year in the country demonstrating an appreciation for Internet-on-the-go, mobile apps are becoming increasingly popular and are emerging as effective avenues for subscribers to access various commercial services.

myOrange is a graphical representation of Orange’s normal #123# USSD menu and features. The app is compatible with the Android OS v2.2 and higher versions and is located on the Orange Kenya WAP site orangewap.orange.co.ke/myorange.php as well as the Orange Kenya commercial website: www.orange.co.ke. It can also be downloaded from the Google Play Store: https://play.google.com with the keywords “myOrange Kenya”
