The World Bank’s Worldwide Governance Indicators provide a snapshot of the level of governance in six key government areas for 255 economies. Measured on a scale of -2.5 (weak) to 2.5 (strong), 12 counties in Sub-Saharan Africa (SSA) including Botswana (1.1) and Ghana (0.1) are politically more stable and free from violence/conflict than Brazil (0.1), Russia (-0.8), India (-1.3) and China (-0.5).
