Global messaging app Whatsapp has announced that it has reached another landmark with its active user-base hitting 600 million this month. The milestone implies that Whatsapp got over 100 million new users in a span of four months.
The news, which was released by Jan Koum the CEO and co-founder of Whatsapp, was sent through his twitter page. He ensured that people understood he meant active users and not registered ones.
Four months ago, the instant messaging subscription service via the official Whatsapp blog jubilated for reaching an impressive half a billion active global users asserting that they were “merely getting started.”
