canvasA few weeks ago we noticed that Nigeria’s PrivateProperty.com.ng, a property marketplace had revamped its website to resemble it’s South African counterpart, PrivateProperty.co.za.

We still not sure if this is a One Africa Media policy but the firm says it’s a move to make it easier for buyers and tenants to find their perfect homes and start talking to sellers, landlords and agents.

According to Oluwafemi Taiwo, Managing Director at PrivateProperty.com.ng, “the website’s design – both visual and its underlying code – is significant and presents a market-leading innovation in Nigeria’s online property market. The interface is interactive, intuitive and inspirational.”

The redesign comes at a time when PrivateProperty is celebrating listing over 140,000 properties and at a time when Information Technology is taking over almost all sectors in Nigeria with an estimated 200 percent increase in internet users in the past 5 years,

The firm adds that the redesign will help ensure that prospective property tenants & buyers, developers and estate agents in Nigeria have access to the best technology, tools and information for their property search and real estate information needs.

The site has been in operation for over 3 years and has listed over 140,000 properties for rent & sale in Nigeria since it launched in 2011, making it the biggest property portal in Nigeria.
