Foreign Policy magazine’s 2014 Baseline Profitability Index (BPI) assesses levels of profitability and pretax returns on investment in 112 countries covering 3 thematic areas. Sub-Saharan Africa’s (SSA) attractiveness for investment is strong, with Botswana leading the world with a BPI score of 1.31, outscoring Hong Kong (1.22), Taiwan (1.20), Singapore (1.18) and South Korea (1.08). Ghana (1.16) and Rwanda 1.15) also feature in the top 10 list ranked 7th and 8thplace globally and outscore China, Brazil and Russia. Read more here…
