APA Insurance now has an online campaign going on meant to celebrate one of the benefits of its revolutionary Globetrotter Travel Cover – compensation for damaged or lost baggage.
Dubbed #BaggageDrama, the 1 minute 27 seconds video has generated a lot of interest online, garnering about 100,000 views in about a month since it was uploaded on YouTube. It can be viewed on https://www.youtube.com/watch?
The video opens at the International Arrivals section of the international airport in Nairobi. A plane has just landed at the airport and passengers are walking towards the baggage collection area after clearing with Customs. They are met with shock at the luggage carousel – most of the baggage is torn and damaged with their belongings falling out. One of the luggages arrives with a message: “Stop worrying; get APA Travel Insurance.”
The CEO of APA Apollo Group, Ashok Shah, said that the Globetrotter Travel Cover highlighted APA Insurance’s leadership position in the insurance industry.
“We are proud to be rewriting the rules of insurance in the country. Our intention in introducing this product is to eliminate travelers’ headache of having to deal with loss or damage of their luggage during the journey,” Shah added.
In addition to covering loss or damage of luggage during travel, the Globetrotter Travel Cover insures travelers against delayed departure of booked flights, the event that they cannot get to their destinations because of hijack, loss of essential documents, medical expenses and personal accidents. It also covers personal liability for accidental injury to third party or damage to their property.
The Globetrotter Travel Cover can be provided to travelers within and outside Kenya as well as tourists.
In addition to Globetrotter Travel Cover, APA Insurance also offers: Motor Insurance, Agricultural Insurance, Aviation Insurance, Health insurance, Personal Accident Insurance, Liability Insurance, and Marine/ Transit Insurance, among others.
