Companies shortlisted for the 4th AppsAfrica.com Innovation Awards have been announced. The 70 finalists have been selected from a pool of 300 submissions from 39 countries, with solutions in all 54 African countries.
The awards recognize the best mobile and technology startups and companies across Africa. The ceremony is held annually in Cape Town, South Africa.
Majority of the applications received came from Kenya, Nigeria and South Africa. The Kenyan ventures shortlisted include, Agritech company WeFarm, Medixus, RippleNami, Kytabu in the ed-tech category, IoT ccompany HopeTechPlus for the sixth sense, and Insurance companies Wayawaya and Denkim insurance. Nigeria’s FarmCrowdy and Publiseer were also selected.
The ultimate winners will be announced on the 12th November 2018 and will receive industry recognition, global publicity, and networking with 300+ industry peers with an invitation to attend the Africa Tech Summit Kigali 2019 to join 400+ tech leaders from across the continent.
