The Huawei Mate 30 Pro 5G will be available for pre-order in the UAE from January 15 for 3,899 AED or $1,061.
Following the Huawei US ban, the device is not widely available in global markets.
It comes with the same 6.53-inch OLED display with an in-display fingerprint scanner, 7nm Kirin 990 5G chipset, and a large 4,500mAh battery with 40W fast charging.
The phone has an impressive quad-camera setup at the back, featuring a 40MP primary sensor which makes it nearly identical to the 4G variant. The only core differences between the 5G and of the Mate 30 Pro is the chipset.
However, the smartphone has no official Google access. Especial for users outside china who have had access to google service all the time. Without the core Google Mobile Services (GMS), It will really be hard to penetrate the western markets.
According to 9to5Google blog post, tech-savvy people will have an easy time with the devices. They have an option to sideload many apps without the need for google mobile services that still makes the device great.
Android 10 comes pre-installed only that it doesn’t have core google apps. This would definitely no sit well with fans deeply ingrained in Gmail, Docs, Drive, and more.
Huawei Mate 30 Pro 5G Wins
Despite all this, Mate 30 Pro 5G is still a winner when it comes to its capabilities.
The Huawei Mate 30 Pro has a striking look one of a kind head-turner. The ultra-curved display wraps around the edges in a way few phones on the market do currently which makes it feels far more screen-laden.
Having no real sides of note means you get a very distinct feeling in the hand. The edges feel an afterthought but the rear design is particularly striking. That large circular camera bump plays host to one of the most stacked camera setups you’ll find on any smartphone but it also catches the eye.
Around that camera system is an under-glass etched design that makes the already prominent camera bump just that bit more visible.

From a notable device reviewer 9to5 Google. The new Mate 30 Pro camera fixes the yellowing issues that the 4G variant had P30 Pro. The updated Night Mode makes impressive strides.
Ashot with the dedicated long exposure of night mode gives you steely shots. They would definitely not look out of place in a Batman comic or movie.
The single-shot auto mode at night does produce more visually pleasing versions.
Video modes are far more comprehensive. The included 4K 60fps footage is the biggest and most welcome addition by far. It finally fixes a glaring omission from older Huawei phones.
