Samsung has finally unpacked the Galaxy S20 series comprising of the Galaxy S20, Galaxy S20 Plus and the S20 Ultra at the San Fransisco’s event.
The Samsung Galaxy S20 5G taps into low and mid-band 5G. The standard handset takes the Infinity Display concept further – almost eliminating the bezel. It also switches the punch-hole front camera to the centre.
Samsung has had a great work around the devices, especially on the cameras. The Galaxy S20, S20 Plus, and S20 Ultra all feature new camera hardware. The S20 and S20 Plus share 12MP main lenses. They also support a 64MP telephoto lenses featuring 3x optical zoom and 12MP wide-angle cameras.
The S20 Plus adds a fourth sensor for depth sensing to assist with Live Focus portrait shots and 3D scanning. All three models include Space Zoom, a combination of optical stabilization and A.I. stabilization that facilitates smooth, non-blurry image capture at 30x zoom in the S20 and S20 Plus models.
The screen sizes of the S20 and S20+ are 6.2- and 6.7-inches respectively, with Quad HD+ (3200 x 1440) resolutions. They also have in-display fingerprint scanners, like their S10 predecessors.
Alongside that, they come with a 120Hz refresh rate for each screen, with triple-lens cameras on both, with the S20+ also getting a Time-of-Flight camera.
Prior go the unpacking, the Galaxy S20 Ultra looked like a real market teaser featuring up to 108-megapixel primary camera, as well as a secondary 48-megapixel camera with 10× zoom, and tertiary 12-megapixel ultra-wide camera.
The s20 sports an SD Card slot, allowing for up to 1TB of expansion and offering internal storage of storage options, including 128GB, 256GB, and 512GB.
The phones also, support largest batteries — 4,000mAh, 4,500mAh, and 5,000mAh respectively — so far crammed into any Galaxy S-series phones. All run Android 10 and all can capture 8K video.
The Galaxy S20 comes in three colour variations, Cosmic Grey, Cloud Blue, Cloud Pink. while the S20+ comes in Cosmic Grey, Cloud Blue, Cosmic Black. The Galaxy S20 Ultra comes in Cosmic Grey, Cosmic Black.
The Galaxy S20 cost $999, the S20 Plus is priced at $1,199, and the S20 Ultra costs $1,399. Earlier, the prices were projected to cost around the same prices as the S10 series.
Pre-orders start on Feb. 21, and shipping set for March 6. You can buy the S20 Plus and S20 Ultra via AT&T, Sprint, T-Mobile, and Verizon.
