Xiaomi Mi 10 Receives Massive Sales Minutes After Debut Sale

The Xiaomi Mi 10 and Mi 10 Pro have been officially launched in China, at an online-only event on February 13. The phones come with a range of impressive features and specs.

The global launch of the devices was slated for February 24 to 27th at the Mobile World Congress. The event was later cancelled due to the Corona Virus concerns across the world.

The phones went on sale on Friday but lasted only a few seconds during the debut sale due to high demand for customers who were eagerly waiting.

According to Xiaomi, the flash sale generated over CNY200 million, which translates to about 42,000 and 50,000 units were available.

This implies that the  Mi 10 duo resonated well with the local market and it might enjoy strong sales if Xiaomi is able to keep up with supply.

In China, the starting price of the Xiaomi Mi 10 is CNY 3999 that is approximately $570. The Xiaomi Mi 10 Pro starts at CNY 4999 in China approximately around $715. The global prices are yet to be revealed. They mostly will launch a little bit lower or higher than the aforementioned price.

Xiaomi Mi 10 Specifications

The Xiaomi Mi 10 features an impressive 6.7-inches dual-curved, hole-punched AMOLED display. The display also has a peak brightness of 1,120 nits and has an impressive 90Hz refresh rate.

The device is supported by the latest Snapdragon 865 SoC.  which is capable of supporting both standalone (SA) and non-standalone (NSA) 5G modes. The Mi 10 has up to 12GB LPDDR5 RAM and 256GB native storage space. The device is capable to utilize the latest UFS 3.0 technology.

On the rear panel, there is a vertically-aligned quad-camera setup which comprises of a 108 megapixels main shooter. Also comes 13 megapixels ultra-wide lens, 2 megapixels depth sensor, as well as a 2 megapixels macro lens. At the front, it comprises of a hole-punched compartment that houses a respectable 20 megapixels selfie camera.

Some of the key highlights for the rear camera include its support for 8K video recording. It well supports both OIS and EIS.

The device carries a 4,780mAh battery that comes with support for Xiaomi’s 30W flash charge technology. The charge could fuel the device from 0 to 100% within 56 minutes. The device supports 30W wireless charging as well.
