Huawei Unveils GT 2e Smartwatch Featuring a Sporty Design

Huawei has unveiled a new smartwatch, the Huawei Watch GT 2e, a predecessor of the Huawei GT 2. The watch features a sporty design of the GT 2 alongside other software improvements.

The watch was launched alongside the Huawei P40 series and comes along with 100 workout modes including skateboarding, rock climbing and parkour. It also houses storage of up to 500 songs.

Noting from the official Huawei Twitter page,  The Huawei Watch GT 2e is perfect for those people with an active lifestyle. It has two weeks of ultra battery life, 100 work modes and other exciting features.

The new Watch GT 2E will retail for €199 in Europe, while the gold edition of the Watch GT 2 will be priced starting at €229 for a version with a white strap or €249 for a red strap. The watches will be available in April.

Huawei GT 2e specifications

The watches come in four colours, Graphite Black, Lava Red,  Mint Green and Icy White.

It has an AMOLED touchscreen display and supports slide and touch gestures. It is approximately 1.39 inch AMOLED 454 X 454 HD.

The GT 2e smartwatch is powered by Kirin A1, HUAWEI’s first self-developed wearable chip, which ensures high operation performance and incredibly low power consumption.

It houses a Dual-chip design and power-saving algorithms 2.0 ensure HUAWEI WATCH GT 2e consumes less energy to achieve astonishing power for all day and night support This smartwatch automatically optimizes the power consumption for a longer-lasting battery for up to 14 days.

The durable stainless steel frame of HUAWEI WATCH 2e pairs flawlessly with the colourful fitness straps, for a comfortable grip.

The AMOLED HD display keeps you plugged into your world.

HUAWEI WATCH 2e allows you to even customize the data and information with heart-rate, steps, weather and others. Only what you care matters.

The device complies with a 5ATM-rated water rating of 5o metres. You can do your swimming with comfortably without worry.
