The Samsung Galaxy Book Go first came to the public a few weeks or months ago when the Reliable leakster (via SamMobile)Evan Blass (@evleaks on Twitter). He published short animation videos concerning the awaited notebooks, the galaxy book Pros. Since then, we have established that Samsung wants to give the world one of the first widely available notebooks equipped with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 7c.

Prices from just 38,006KES

Samsung could ensure that notebooks equipped with Windows 10 on ARM could become much more popular. Especially with the Galaxy Book Go, the device will be surprisingly cheap, at least in the basic version. For the US market, Samsung has set a price of only 349.99 US dollars. This is the official price recommendation, clearly in Chromebook territory.

In return, the customer receives a 14-inch laptop with an attractive design and full HD resolution. The Snapdragon 7c, with its eight cores of up to 2.4 gigahertz, is used. However, Samsung is skimpy on RAM and only uses a meagre four gigabytes of RAM in the 38,006KES version. After all, the internal flash memory of 128 GB is relatively generous.

Because Windows 10X is not yet finished. The Samsung Galaxy Book Go will initially be launched with Windows 10 Home in the ARM version. Anyone who has already used one of the older ARM notebooks with Windows knows that ARM notebooks cannot expect compelling performance with it. The performance is keenly noted, Especially when accessing Win32 applications via emulation.

The 5G-capable version of the Galaxy Book Go, which brings with it a significantly more robust platform with the 3rd generation Snapdragon 8cx, should offer more performance. However, the pricing, which is still unknown in this case, is likely to be much more demanding – namely, more expensive. Samsung will officially launch the new Galaxy notebooks on April 28, 2021.
