Google will soon introduce not only Android 12 in the final version but also new smartphones. A well-known leaker has now released images of the Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro, which reveal a pretty unusual design. This shows some details that we did not yet know.

The leaker Jon Prosser, who is known for Apple information, took care of Google this time and published images of the upcoming Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro based on his knowledge. They show that Google is likely to be much bolder when it comes to designing smartphones. The thick bars around the display at the front are to disappear, and Google is supposed to switch to an in-display camera on the Pixel 6. This is how an almost borderless and modern design is to be created.

While the front is perfect, the back looks very unusual. Google is likely to let a vast strip emerge from the case in which the camera is located. While the camera area should always be black, you can mix the colors on the back. Whether you can choose freely or whether Google dictates certain combinations, we do not yet know. What is clear, however, is that Google would have found a design for the Pixel 6 that did not yet exist in the form. This design has one advantage: the smartphone does not tilt when it is on the back. These images also confirm that the fingerprint sensor moves from the back to the front under the display.

Google Pixel 6 (Pro) enhanced with a triple camera

While Google has previously bet on a dual camera, the Pixel 6 could be a rethink. The Pixel 4 still said you don’t need an ultra-wide angle. A telephoto lens is sufficient as a second sensor. Until the Pixel 5 suddenly thought that a telephoto lens was excessive and an ultra-wide-angle much better. With the Pixel 6, you will probably finally get both – with a delay of two years. How good the sensors are and whether Google can still keep up with the competition will be known shortly.
