Mdundo has partnered with Vodacom Tanzania to make a music bundle for its subscribers. The bundle will give Vodacom’s subscribers access to Mdundo’s premium service as well as exclusively curated music mixes selected by top Tanzanian DJs. And will be only offered to subscribing customers.
Vodacom’s head of value-added services (VAS) Nguvu Kamand said that, instead of struggling and moving from one platform to another, we as a digital valuing company, saw the importance of creating one bundle which will include all music genres. That’s why we decided to partner with Mdundo.
The music streaming app was launched in Kenya in 2013 and has become one of the leading music services in Africa.
The platform is available to users globally, with a focus on African markets including Angola, Cameroon, DRC, Ghana, Kenya, Malawi, Mozambique, Namibia, Nigeria, Rwanda, South Africa, Tanzania, Uganda, Zambia and Zimbabwe
Vodacom Tanzania is a leading telecom company with over 15.6 million subscribers, this deal is therefore important as it will help boost Mdundos position as a leader in the African music industry.
