The VC4A Venture Showcase, an exclusive programme for Africa-focused early-stage investors and hand-picked startups looking to raise seed (US$250,000 to US$1.5 million) and Series A (US$1.5 million to US$10 million) rounds, is now accepting applications.

The VC4A Venture Showcase, now in its fifth year as part of the annual Africa Early Stage Investor Summit, is offering eight slots for each of the two tracks for companies operating in Africa that have proven traction and are ready to expand.

VC4A Venture Showcase Seed is the sister program of the annual VC4A Venture Showcase Series A. As part of the program, companies get visibility with 200+ investors part of the curated VC4A investor network and interviews with the leading VC funds as part of the vetting process. The finalists receive mentorship and technical advice directly from the angel investors and VC fund managers and make a center-stage appearance at the Africa Early Stage Investor Summit.

The showcase has run successfully every year since 2017, with over 120 partnering venture funds and angel groups actively involved in the vetting and selection process, and with the 80 startups showcased to date having jointly raised over US$180 million.

In addition to pitching at the Africa Early Stage Investor Summit, the startups will also get to participate in a deal room with more than 200 investor organizations. If you are selected for the Showcase, you are expected to: engage with assigned mentors (partner VC investors) and VC4A team to prepare your 3-minute and 20-minute presentations, as well as 2-pagers with investor data as part of the deal book and also be prepared to pitch and engage with VC investors in the period of October – November 2020 and be part of the VC4A Venture Showcase and the Africa Early Stage Investor Summit. Interested entrepreneurs can apply for seed and Series A before July 24.
