The Apple Watch Series 7 was unveiled on September 14 alongside the iPhone 13 and iPad mini, but there was no word on when it would be available. The firm has stated that the product will be available in mid-October.
The Apple Watch Series 7 was unveiled without a release date, featuring a new screen, improved resistance, and tweaks. Apple mentioned only “present fall”. Apple officially announced a release date for its linked watch on Monday. It will be available for purchase on Friday, October 15. Pre-orders will open a week earlier, on October 8, as is traditional.
Considering the several speculations and expectations, the Apple Watch Series 7 does not proclaim itself as a vast revolution, even if it increases its screen size by 1 mm on each case (41 and 45 mm now). It has undoubtedly increased its resistance, improved its rapid charging and endurance, and regularly replaced its bracelets and cases. Changes are almost non-existent.
The CPU is identical to that of last year’s Watch Series 6. Therefore the only difference is the bigger screen with overhangs. The same sensors, such as the ECG, oximeter, and fall detector, are constantly present. An integrated keyboard, new unique dials, and IP6X certification for better dust and water resistance are new features (WR50 rating). It will, of course, run on the latest watchOS 8 system with all of its features, such as the Mindfulness app and Messages and Photos tools.
The Apple Watch Series 7 is offered in an aluminium case with five colours midnight, starlight, green, blue, and product red, for 429 euros, or in a stainless steel case with five colours midnight, starlight, green, blue, and product red (silver, graphite, gold). Titanium or black titanium Apple Watch Edition is also available.
