The Kenya National Innovation Agency has announced a call for exhibitors and delegates for the Kenya Innovation Week. The inaugural event will be taking place in December 2021.
Speaking during the stakeholder’s meeting today at Capital Club East Africa, the Agency’s CEO Dr. Tonny Omwansa has urged innovators to showcase at (KIW) as this will expose them to investors, partners, and potential customers. “The Kenya Innovation Week will run from the 6 th to the 10th of December 2021 We urge those with innovative products and services to come and exhibit.”
The innovation week will incorporate four summits namely; Skills and Talents for Innovation, Technology and 4th Industrial Revolution Summit, Commercialization summit, and the Startup Kenya summit. The hybrid summits and expos will be taking place at the Kenya School of Government – Lower Kabete. Delegates have been invited to sign up at kenyainnovationweek.com/tickets.
With a month to go, 20 pre-events including bootcamps, innovation camps, workshops, webinars, hackathons and startup challenges have been held across the country as a build up to the week. The event will see over 100 local and international speakers participate in over 98 sessions. Startups will also pitch to an audience of investors and partners on the 8th of December.
The Kenya Innovation Week is also offering startups, corporates, universities and government agencies an opportunity to showcase their innovations by exhibiting. During the meeting also attended by sponsors, partners, and stakeholders of the Kenya Innovation Week, Amb. Simon Nabukwesi, the PS, Department of University Education and Research – Ministry of Education encouraged innovators and Kenyans in general to attend the KIW as it aims to strengthen the research and commercialization practices for greater socioeconomic impact. He also lauded efforts by the 24 partners who have come together and committed to changing the innovation landscape in Kenya.
