Payourse, a blockchain startup based in Nigeria, has raised $600,000 in a pre-seed round to expand its products — Coinprofile and Simpa — hire more talent, and enter new markets.
Angel investors included Freeme Digital Limited CEO Michael Ugwu, CELO co-founders Marek Olszewski and Rene Reinsberg, Ventures Platform Founding Partner Kola Aina, Oluwatobi Anisere, and Angel Touch Holdings, as well as Flori Ventures, Voltron Capital, and Allegory Capital.
The Lagos-based blockchain startup offers solutions to make cryptocurrency adoption easier in Africa. The Payourse infrastructure helps African businesses to develop user-friendly cryptocurrency and Web3 products.

Anyone in the world can send crypto to Coinprofile, and the recipient will receive the equivalent fiat value in their bank account within minutes. It’s essentially a crypto-to-fiat exchange.
Simpa enables anyone to start a cryptocurrency exchange within 30 minutes. Payourse describes it as a “quick, easy, no-code way to quickly launch a completely configurable crypto exchange.” Data is being collected now from users who will get early access to the beta version when it launches in the coming weeks.
