Last Week Qualcomm unveiled some novelties from its Product Catalogue, the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chipset. The processor has been tested and compared against the Apple A15 Bionic, which runs on the latest smartphones from Apple

The Hot Hardware website was able to test the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 processor that features 8 GB of LPDDR5 memory and 512 GB of UFS 3.1 storage. This latest SoC is at the top of the leaderboard on GFXBench.

It takes 267 frames per second after it exits the procedure, compared to 215 frames per second for the iPhone 13 Pro. The Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 is still behind Apple’s newest 3D Mark and its Wild Life test, with 10,443 points vs. 11,699 for the iPhone 13 Pro.

The Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 comfortably tops the list with an unparalleled score of 1,031,302 points in the AnTuTu Benchmark, which we use here at TechMoran to Test our smartphones.

However, there is one area where Apple’s solution still outperforms the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 that is the CPU. When tested with GeekBench 5, Qualcomm’s latest SoC is even surpassed by the iPhone 11 Pro, introduced two years ago. The CPU’s single-core and multi-core performance are nearly equal to that of the Snapdragon 888+.
