Here are the three edtech startups that have secured funding from EdVentures and ASRT.

OBM Education, Super Fny, and Crafty Workshop, all based in Egypt, have received new funding from EdVentures and The Academy of Scientific Research and Technology (ASRT). The three startups’ total funding remains undisclosed.

In addition, the three edtechs will take part in EdVentures’ three-month acceleration program.

Omar El-barbary launched the OBM foundation in 2013 to provide career development navigation tools for high school and university students. Super Fny is an online tutoring platform aimed at assisting students at vocational schools in improving their technical skills and improving their employability. Crafty Workshop provides a variety of online technical and pedagogical workshops and courses for artisans and crafters.

Since 2017, EdVentures has been actively investing in local edtech startups as Egypt’s first edtech-focused corporate venture capital (VC) fund.

In November, Educately raised $1 million in the largest amount of funding for an edtech startup in 2021.
