Applications are now available for cohort two of the AUDA-NEPAD Home Grown Solutions Accelerator, which aims to provide hands-on, highly personalized support to developing and mature-stage African healthcare companies in order to help them improve and grow.
The African Union Development Agency (AUDA-NEPAD) is behind the program, which was envisioned in response to the COVID-19 pandemic to realize the potential of local private sector solutions to strengthen the continent’s pandemic resilience, with financial support from the Japan International Cooperation Agency, in partnership with Boston Consulting Group and Villgro Africa.
It is now launching cohort two after a successful 2021 pilot in East Africa, where it supported Access Afya, Africa Healthcare Network, Damu Sasa, MSCAN, and Revital Healthcare.
Businesses must be a for-profit company in its growth or maturity stage, focused on boosting Africa’s healthcare system, and identified as a “Home Grown Solution” in order to qualify. Applications are open here.
