As seen by the announcements made by WhatsApp over the last few months, the messaging network has begun to roll out new functionality.
An upgrade to the Last Seen Controls is one of the most requested features with an emphasis on privacy. You can presently set your Last Seen status to be displayed to Everyone, My Contacts, or Nobody using the Last Seen status function. The messaging app will soon include a new feature that will appeal to the majority, if not all, of its users. Thanks to the recently added option – My Contacts Except – you’ll soon be able to make your last seen status visible for specific contacts.

When you simply want your close friends or family members to know when you were last on the app, this option will come in helpful. Other people, such as acquaintances, don’t need to know how long you’ve been using the program.
WABetaInfo has released additional upgrades to this functionality, which now includes other privacy options including “profile photo” and “about.” The iOS beta app is receiving a new update.

It’s worth mentioning that if you hide some contacts’ Last Seen, you won’t be able to see theirs either. There’s no clear date for when these features will be available, but as is customary, Beta users will be the first to have access before they’re made available to the general public.
