Miss.Africa Digital a.k.a Fempower Initiative led by DCA Academy has announced its fifth rounded Seed-Fund Winners in Africa.
The program offers grants to support women and girls in the Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) fields to launch or expand their own initiatives that will increase their digital opportunities in IT-related training, jobs, and leadership roles.
Kim Gueho, Corporate Trustee, DCA Trust said: _“Congratulations to all of our winners! Your creativity and hard work are definitely something to be very proud of. We are very happy with the sheer number of participants around Africa that are engaged in creating a better future through entrepreneurial education and sustainable innovation within their communities.”
The winners include 1. Based on Science Guidance and Technology (BSGT), South Africa was the winner of the 2022 Miss.Africa Digital Grand Seed Fund Prize of United States Dollar 5,000.00 and a Media Package worth 1000 USD.
Pamtech Designs and Systems as the winner of the 2022 Miss.Africa Digital Seed Fund Prize Second Category of United States Dollar 1,000.00.
The Clicking Generation as the winner of the 2022 Miss.Africa Digital Seed Fund Prize Third Category of United States Dollar 1,000.00.
The winners will also benefit from the DCA Academy Boot Camp Accelerator program.
In a statement to DCA, Sophia Bekele, Founder of Miss.Africa Digital Program, said: _“We award the winners to advance in their excellent work of creating positive change in their communities. It is also a great way for them to learn more about technology, fundraising, and relationships. High five!.
The program has now been in 15 African nations and has impacted over 10,000 women and girls, including the youth under DCA Corporate Boot Camp sponsored by the DCA Academy.”
