Pinned conversations, which were previously only accessible to Twitter Blue subscribers, are now accessible to all users on Android, iOS, and the web.
How to pin a message on Twitter
To pin a direct message on the iOS app, follow these instructions:
- On your smartphone, launch the most recent version of the Twitter app.
- When you tap the envelope icon, your messages will appear.
- Swipe to the side of a conversation in your inbox to reveal a pin.
- When you tap the pin, a section labeled “Pin Conversation” will appear above your inbox with the conversation.
While on Android, you must press and hold the message you want to save rather than swiping through the conversation. The “Pin Conversation” option will appear above other options.
Last but not least, when you hover your cursor over a chat in your inbox on the web, the option will show up via the three-dot menu.
Up to six conversations can be pinned, and they will be separated from the others. Pins are a practical way to keep a few discussions immediately accessible, especially for those who routinely get a large number of direct messages.
