Both the mobile app and the Scribd website lets you reset a lost password. Each has a somewhat distinct set of steps, which are listed below.
On the Scribd website
- Choose “Sign In” from the Scribd website’s top right-hand corner.
- Pick “Sign in with Email” from the menu.
- Simply select “Forgot Password?”
- In the space provided, provide the email address you used to sign up for a Scribd account.
- You will receive an email with a link to reset your Scribd account password when you click the “Send email” button.
Within the Scribd app
- Tap Account in the bottom right corner of the screen while using the Scribd app.
- Click “Sign in”
- The “Sign in with email” option should be selected.
- Click the “Forgot Password” link.
- In the Password Reset window that displays, enter the registered Scribd email address.
- You’ll receive an email with a link to reset your Scribd account password when you click the Reset Password button.
The password reset email including your link won’t show up for a while.
Readers occasionally discover that this email has been forwarded to a spam, trash, or similar folder. If you don’t notice the password reset email right away, we advise looking in your mailbox for “Forgot your Scribd password?”
Click the link in the password reset email as soon as you receive it. After that, you’ll be directed to a page where you may confirm your new password for your Scribd account and log back in.
