How to Curve Text in Google Slides

With Google Slides, you can make powerful presentations online for free. It’s a very helpful slideshow program. It includes several useful features, like the ability to add and edit tables and to make photos translucent. Even if they can be accomplished with other slideshow programs, there are several things that Google Slides cannot accomplish.

 Among those is the creation of curved text. Google Slides does not offer any tools for creating curved text, which would enhance the visual appeal of your presentations. The good news is that, with a little imagination, you can still incorporate curved text into your Google Slides presentation.

How to Use PowerPoint to Curve Text in Google Slides

If you have access to Microsoft PowerPoint, you can use the text effects tools that are already included in the program to make your curved text. The curved text can then be copied and pasted into your Google Slides presentation.

  • Launch PowerPoint.
  • Select the Insert option.
  • From the ribbon, choose Text Box.
  • Input your text by dragging out the text box.
  • Select Shape Format from the menu.
  • Press the icon for Text Effects.
  • Select Transform.

Pick the curved text effect you want. You can use one of the Warp choices for text that is slightly bent.

Choose one of the Follow Path choices for text that is circular or partially circular.

Simply drag one of the White Dots around the text box’s edge to adjust its size.

Click and drag the Yellow Dot to change the curved text’s position or curvature.

Once your text is perfect, pick it, do a right-click, and select Copy.

Launch the Google Slides files you have.

To make the curved text appear, right-click on the desired location and choose Paste.

You’ve pasted your curved text into Google Slides.

How to Use an Online Tool to Curve Text in Google Slides

You can construct your curved text using internet tools if you don’t have access to PowerPoint. The curved text can then be copied and pasted into a Google Slides document. There are a ton of online tools available, some of which need that you register in order to utilize them. We will use the inkPx Curved Text Generator for this example, which is free to use and doesn’t require an account.

Using inkPx to Curve Text in Google Slides

  • Launch a browser and navigate to the inkPx Curved Text Generator webpage.
  • Choose the desired style of curved text to use, such as Text in Circle.
  • In the Text area, type your text.
  • Other variables like the font, alignment, fill color, offsets, and shadow effects are all modifiable at your discretion.
  • Using the relevant tabs, you can also add a background or alter the text’s path.
  • You can preview your text in the window above as you make changes.
  • Once your curved text is to your satisfaction, select the Download option located at the bottom of the screen.
  • Select the download file type. When PNG is chosen, a transparent background image will be produced.
  • Tap “Download.”
  • The curved text image can be saved anywhere you choose.
  • Launch Slides on Google.
  • Select the Insert option.
  • Choose Upload From Computer > Image.
  • Click Open after selecting the curved text file you saved.
  • Your Google Slides document now includes your curved text.

Get Creative With Google Slides

You may use more creativity in your presentations by learning how to curve text in Google Slides. Even while Google Slides doesn’t come with any built-in tools for creating curved text, you may still use one of the aforementioned techniques to include the effect into your presentation.

However, one drawback of these techniques is that editing your curved text is difficult. You will need to return to your online curved text generator or your PowerPoint document to make any necessary changes, and then copy and paste the revised text.

You can add more visual interest to your Google Slides presentations in a lot of different ways. Adding HTML to Google Slides is one way. With this, you may add more interest to your slides by directly inserting photos or videos. Using this technique, you may even incorporate audio into your slides to enhance the visual and auditory appeal of your presentations.
