Safaricom Partners with Tusker for OktobaFest

Safaricom has entered a partnership with Kenya Breweries Limited’s Tusker beer brand to enhance the OktobaFest beer festival in East Africa.

“This tech sponsorship, valued at Sh30 million, aims to improve connectivity during OktobaFest, boost sign-ups for Safaricom Hook, and enable digital lifestyles through M-PESA.”

As the official connectivity partner for the festival, Safaricom will showcase its 4G and 5G network capabilities, providing Cell on Wheels (COWs) network towers and cabled fibre for key festival areas.

A special data bundle plan, ‘OktobaFest Bundle,’ will allow consumers to live-stream the event.

Safaricom will also facilitate fast and secure payments through M-PESA, offering 10% cashback on on-site purchases and 30% off Uber rides when booked and paid with M-PESA using the promo code FEST2023.

Charging stations will be available at various festival locations, making it a comprehensive tech-infused experience.

This partnership celebrates Kenyan culture and combines the strengths of these iconic Kenyan brands to create a significant cultural event.
